Ingredients Required to make Kadai paneer:

  • 250 grams paneer, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 medium-sized onion, finely chopped
  • 1 medium-sized tomato, finely chopped
  • 1 green chili, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, finely grated
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, finely grated
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon coriander seeds
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • Salt, to taste
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro

5 Easy Steps Instructions to make Kadai Paneer:

  1. Heat the oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the cumin seeds and coriander seeds, and fry for a few seconds until fragrant.
  2. Add the onion, tomato, green chili, ginger, and garlic, and cook until the vegetables are soft and lightly caramelized.
  3. Stir in the cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, garam masala powder, and salt, and cook for a few more minutes.
  4. Add the water and paneer to the pan and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low, and simmer for 5-7 minutes, until the sauce has thickened, and the paneer is tender.
  5. Stir in the heavy cream and cilantro and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
Serve the kadai paneer hot, with rice or roti on the side. Enjoy!
